Web Usage
In essence, a Web Font license allows for the usage of live html text styled with your purchased fonts via the @font-face rule, and a series of steps on your server that protect the font from being exploited by third parties.
App/Embedding
Allows for embedding of the fonts in e-books, mobile apps, and dynamic advertisements like digital kiosks and billboards. Each purpose of such allows for the usage of the font for one usage instance of font (one billboard campaign, one type of usage via kiosk, one title (excluding sequels or further editions) in e-books or apps.
Broadcasting
Allows for installation & usage of fonts on all computers necessary for broadcasting, including television, film and commercials. Online broadcasting is also allowed. Price is per title or venture.
Corporate License
This licence allows a single corporate/business entity unlimited seats and use in any and all media, in perpetuity, as well as the temporary distribution1 of the font to those needing it for the support of organization’s branding. Includes desktop, web, app and broadcasting2 usage.
Products
This category refers specifically to items that not only use the font for communication or identification, but display the font as a prominent feature of the product’s design3. For example’s sake, a tee with only a phrase set in my fonts requires this type of license.
Customizable Products
Usage of the font in a context in which an end user can modify and typeset the font on the fly to create their own custom product. Examples include a system which allows for creating your own invitations, cups, or tees and choosing my fonts to set them in.
- Those to whom the font are distributed as a necessity must discard files upon completion of Licensed Client’s task. Broadcasting license covers usage for Client Promotion, not unrelated ventures.
- This refers to broadcasting usage for the promotion of that corporate entity. If such entity were to, for example, produce a motion picture, which is a separate venture, a separate license would be required for that.
- This does not include alphabet product usage. Nobody but myself and/or a partnership between myself and another party have this right.
The licenses for these extensions are subject to change at my sole discretion, and clients are given 30 days to make changes necessary to remain within license requirements. No change will require a client to cover retroactive expenses. However, if it’s not explicitly stated that a license is perpetual and perpetually bound to those terms, occasional changes may be made to the license to reflect the market, particularly for yearly or recurring expenses.
